In the Mood of Getting Married?

For LGBT people and friends, if you’re in the mood of getting married, where can you get legally married and recognized by the very country where you’ll be getting married? Well, definitely not in the United States for now.

Closest to us is Canada, sometimes thought of by ignoramuses as the 51st state of United States. Same-sex marriages were nationally recognized since 2005. It was the fourth country in the world to legalize same-sex marriages. Continue reading

Leave Justin Alone!

I feel like I’m going to be the new Chris Crocker making the Youtube video, “Leave Justin Alone!” Mr. Bieber was accused of being homophobic and anti-abortion in his interview with Rolling Stone magazine. I wanted to do a bit more research on it and get the direct quotes, which I felt were probably read out of context. First of all, listen to this: “Canada’s the best country in the world…We go to the doctor and we don’t need to worry about paying him, but here, your whole life, you’re broke because of medical bills.” Go Canada! Being a fellow Canadian myself, I must say you have to read his comments from the perspective of a country that is more culturally and politically advanced.

When asked about being gay, Mr. Bieber said, “It’s everyone’s own decision to do that. It doesn’t affect me and shouldn’t affect anyone else.” Continue reading

New Year’s Day Switch

Have you noticed all the weight loss advertisements lately? It’s almost as if a switch had been turned on New Year’s Day and we are being whipped into a guilt trip over the indulgences of the last two month.  I know that this is not a new thing, but whatever happened to easing into it. We are riled up to eat and be merry over the holidays and then knocked down equally as fast if not faster. It’s no wonder we have eating disorders.
