So often as I make my rounds at various high-end retailers, I am always left wondering just how these fashion houses can charge someone their month’s rent for a fucking sweater… a light-weight sweater at that! Now, if you can afford to shop at luxury shops like Louis Vuitton or Lanvin or Gucci, etc… then you’re not who I am talking to in this week’s entry. For those of you who appreciate high-end style, but lack the disposable income to finance such a look, then pay close attention to this layout I created that will make you appear as if you just stepped off the Louis Vuitton runway.
Obviously, the quality difference is somewhat significant, but in the end, who cares what labels you’re covered in… if you look good, you look good! Below you will find some of my favorite looks from Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection that you can splurge on, but I also include my interpretations of these looks at a bargain! I know, I know… how is a $400-600 outfit a bargain? Relative to the LV price points, believe me, it’s a BARGAIN! Their sandals alone can cut $500 from your bank account! But if you don’t need the bags and accessories, that’ll significantly cut the costs. As I’ve mentioned before, you don’t need to spend a lot, to look like you’re worth a lot!

While watching all the stars arrive at the 83rd Academy Awards show tonight, I really have to sift out some stand-out dresses. I felt many of the actresses went a little safe this year. I understand the Oscars isn’t the award show to take fashion risks, but still, the “glam” was definitely dialed down a notch this year, but I will say I was quite impressed by all the vibrant colors that were represented tonight on the red carpet.

NEVER purchase these style of shoes, unless you want to pay a lot of money to look tacky and gross.
There are different factors that can lead to successful long term relationships, and it begins with the first date. However, there are those who are denied the chance of a first date simply because they have failed putting their best foot forward at impressing that special someone; I mean that both figuratively and literally. What shoes you wear, silly as it may seem, can cost you a date (or if you’re lucky and got that first date, it’ll likely cost you any future dates with that person). We all would like to think we’re above such petty little details when it comes to finding a significant other, but the truth is in any group of friends there are always a few (you’re probably one of them) who will cut someone loose for the sole fact that they wore a hideous pair of shoes.
